  Steel Media is manufactured in various shapes, sizes and steel material for metal polishing, ball burnishing in vibratory polishing machines and mass finishing equipment. Processing with steel media results in high quality bright finish, rapid action and fast process cycle times. Wear rate of steel media especially stainless and in ox is nil, process results do not change, consistent finishes are achieved
constant media replenishment is not required. Possibility of media clogging due to reduction in size after wear out is eliminated. Steel Media does not get glazed, finishing quality does not deteriorate with time. Media slurry and foaming is eliminated contributing to faster wash ability of components and steel media and easy treatment of waste water streams. The weight of the steel media results in flattening minor surface irregularities and work hardening the component. This translates into better component lustre, lower coating costs, better plating coating finishes, higher component strength and life.

Spherical Steel Ball
(Round Precision Sphere)
Spherical Steel balls, because of their precise sphericity and excellent rolling action impart terrific luster, close to buffing, on metal components in mass finishing equipment.
Metal finishing with steel balls improves component surface and  Ra value which results in improved finishes after coating.

Steel Eclipse
(Flat End Ball)
Eclipses, round steel balls with slight flattening on the top and bottom ends (at the poles) are recommended wherever exact roundness is not essential, as in many steel media finishing processes. The use of eclipse balls also result in substantial cost savings.

Satellite, Ballcone

Diagonal  Pin
(Beveled Steel Cylinders)
Mass finishing media shapes like steel satellite, ballcones and diagonals, pins are useful for accessing  grooves, holes, corners, collars and intricate profiles where steel balls cannot reach.
These shapes of steel media are widely used for jewelry polishing, cast aluminum polishing, cutlery burnishing, steel polishing and other ferrous and non-ferrous metal polishing applications in mass finishing processes.
